just reminding all you lovely people that history has been made. i'd be more passionate about my writing in this moment, but i wore a lot of it out today. overall, i'm incredibly thrilled with the outcome. i believed in obama so much since i first heard him speak. his demeanor makes for that of a president. it's where he belongs, honestly. he gives me so much hope and strength, and he gives it to everyone else too. his charisma, charm and values are so attractive to anyone and everyone he meets. he's a likeable guy, and foreigners like him too. he will restore the united states' former glory and make waving the american flag a thing of pride rather than what bush made it... shame. i believe so much in him. this election was by far, one of the greatest experiences of my life. the year of campaigning, the primaries, the fighting, biden, palin... the controversy, just.. everything ! i'm so excited to see what's to come because i believe in obama so strongly. he is near and dear to my heart. i think our country is back on the right track. i feel so proud to be an american today, in this moment. 40 years ago we were protesting for african american rights and martin luther king's dream came true. obama is a figure of the new america and i am so hoping he does a good job. actually, not hoping, i know he will do a terrific job. this race has just been a phenomenon. a few years ago i started a documentary about how our generation was apathetic and this election changed everything for me. 80% of voters came out, and that's the most to come out since women got the right to vote ! it's amazing, it's phenomenal and i just have to say i'm so excited for 2009. i've never felt so strongly for a politician in my life, but obama gave me hope. hope for the new generation, hope for our country, hope that my future will be secure. i love this guy so much. i hope he is the best president to ever take office because he deserves it. his background, he worked his way up from the bottom and i have so much respect for him. underneath it all, he understands the average american in the working class and he's just an amazing person that anyone and everyone should be pleased to live among.
besides the election, i'm pretty stoked about some other things going on in my life. i'm sort of feeling chemistry with someone else (who isn't taken) so we'll see how that goes, but before i start sounding like a teenager, i'll leave it off with some cool shizz around da etsy hood. ps- obama, i love you.
<-- i posted this necklace yesterday. i really like it ! well, i like it for other people at least. it's such a cute hippie statement. i'm so happy i found this super-cute charm ! it looks awesome ! i like the color combo and i'm so excited for it to be bought ! i think it'll be a great addition to someone's accessory collection someday.
